Celebrate our Champions – Dr. Steven Gilbert and Senator Kevin Van De Wege
Join us as we give special awards to two environmental health champions!
TFF honors Dr. Steve Gilbert of the UW’s Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences and the Institute of Neurotoxicology and Neurological Disorders for his outstanding involvement in science and advocacy in support of stronger health protections against harmful chemicals. Whether leading on the board of directors, offering expert public testimony, or rallying new TFF donors at his birthday party, Steve is a tireless advocate!
We also honor Washington State Senator and Sequim, WA firefighter Kevin Van De Wege, who worked tirelessly for four years to pass the nation’s strongest ban on flame retardants and toxic chemicals in children’s products and furniture. We all benefit from his determination and leadership!
