About Dr. Paulene Quigley
Paulene Quigley is a protein biochemist specializing in viral vectors. As a Fulbright Scholar, she studied protein crystallography at the University of Glasgow, then earned her PhD in biomolecular structure and drug design from University of Washington. Working in industry and academia, she has contributed to the development of gene therapy platforms and infectious disease research programs. In her current role, she manages a program to develop FDA-approved diagnostics for the detection of CoVID and infectious diseases worldwide. When not at the lab, she lives on a cozy houseboat on Lake Union in Seattle where she enjoys swimming, diving, biking, and tree-climbing with her three children.
