Toxic-Free Future Privacy Policy

Toxic-Free Future strongly believes that if our advocacy, education and other activities are to flourish, users must be assured that information provided to us is used responsibly and appropriately. To protect privacy, we have implemented the following policy, which applies to all websites, communications, and various literature maintained by TFF:

Personally Identifiable Information

We may collect personally identifiable information from you including your name, email address, phone numbers, or credit card information when provided to us.  We may contact you using your personal information, including sending you email alerts, solicitations, and organizational updates. If your personally identifiable information is collected, it may be shared with closely aligned groups. However, we will never share your credit card information except with trusted outside vendors when necessary to fulfill any request you have made to us, such as charging your credit card for a donation.

Opting Out

You may always contact us directly to express your preferences to opt out of any of our communications.  All of our online communications contain opt out instructions and links at the bottom. To opt out of communications or to change your preferences, you may also send an email with your request to gifts@toxicfreefuture.org or call us at (206) 632-1545.

Be aware that our websites link to other websites and we cannot control and are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of those websites.

Cookies, Flash Cookies, and Web Beacons

We may use cookies, flash cookies, and web beacons to store visitors’ preferences, record session information, alert visitors to new areas of the website that we think might be of interest to them when they return to our site, and record past activity at a site to provide better service when visitors return to our site. Be aware that our online partners who provide certain features related to our websites, including CQRollCall, which supports the “Take Action” page, may utilize cookies in other ways.

Email Lists

Users sign up for our email lists by taking an action on our Take Action Page, making a donation, or otherwise opting into the list. Users who sign up will receive regular TFF communications.  Each communication will provide information on how to unsubscribe from this service.

We will not sell or rent your email address or personally identifiable information to any commercial users or marketing firms

Publicly Sharing Your Comments

We often receive information from website visitors who have successfully participated in our programs and/or used our resources. In certain instances, we would like to publicly share the comments and stories we receive by posting this information on one of our websites. We will not, however, publicly share ANY information we receive on any of our websites without first receiving the express consent of the individual who submitted the information.

Other Security Measures

We want to provide TFF supporters with a secure experience whether they are taking action, making a donation, or signing up for the first time. We use all reasonable means to safeguard the privacy of your personal information. When our forms ask users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected.

Policy Revisions

We reserve the right to periodically amend this privacy policy and as such revisions to our privacy policy will be made on this page.  This policy was last modified on June 1, 2016 with all changes made effective as of that date.
