Tell Congress: Protect our health. Don’t Weaken TSCA!
Congress could begin rolling back our nation’s chemical safety law as early as this month. We need your voice now.
Every family deserves protection from toxic chemicals in our food, drinking water, and everyday products. But chemical industry lobbyists are pushing Congress to weaken our nation’s chemical safety law, the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
Updates to the law in 2016 make it possible for the EPA ban to ban dangerous chemicals like asbestos, TCE, and methylene chloride, and to require safety reviews before new chemicals enter the market.
Current proposals before Congress would make it easier to sell dangerous chemicals, harder to ban chemicals linked to serious health harms like cancer, infertility, impaired brain development, and Parkinson’s disease, and more difficult for states to protect their residents from toxic chemical exposures.
Please contact your members of Congress now. Urge them to oppose rollbacks to our nation’s chemical safety law.
