PHOTOS: Polluted Polly travels the U.S. on her quest to ban PFAS from food packaging

Have you heard about our senior activist Polluted Polly? She’s been traveling the U.S. spreading the word about her quest to ban PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) from food packaging. It is Polly’s mission to protect people, communities, and the environment from toxic PFAS chemicals that can leach out of packaging and last forever, polluting our drinking water, food, air, and soil.

During Polly’s travels, she has urged Burger King to join McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and other major retailers in banning PFAS from its food packaging. And she’s been urging Congress to ban PFAS from all U.S. food packaging.

A big thank-you to the groups who hosted Polly in her travels, including Clean Water Action and Defend Our Health!

Want to help Polly get PFAS out of food packaging? Take action by asking your members of Congress to co-sponsor the Keep Food Containers Safe from PFAS Act!

So far, Polly has visited nine states and the District of Columbia. Check out some photos from her travels!
