How to post your toxic relationship to our Facebook wall

How-to post your toxic relationship Are you in a toxic relationship but don’t know how to end it? We can help. We’ve put together a step-by-step instruction guide for posting your photo or video — and starting your recovery. If you have any suggestions or questions, please submit a comment below and let us know!

Upload a photo to the Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families Facebook page and have your friends see it, too:

  • Take a photo of you with the toxic item you are want to break up with.
  • Save it to your desk top using a memorable name.
  • Go to http://www.facebook.com/saferchemicals.
  • As if you were going to post a comment to our wall (in the “What’s on your mind?” box), click on the small icon that looks like a photo (located to the right of “Attach”).
  • Then, select the link “Upload a Photo.”
  • Next, select “Choose File.”
  • Browse through your personal files and find the photo that you saved for this project.
  • In the comment box above, add a quick description of your photo.
  • Select the Share button on the lower right-hand side of the comment box to post your photo.

Upload a video to the Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families Facebook page and have your friends see it, too:

  • Record a short video (2 minutes long is perfect) explaining why you want to break up your toxic relationship.
  • Save the video in a popular movie format and name it something recognizable.
  • Go to http://www.facebook.com/saferchemicals.
  • As if you were commenting on our page or uploading a photo (in the “What’s on your mind?” box), click on the small icon that looks like a video camera (located to the right of “Attach”).
  • Select the “Upload a Video” link.
  • Select “Choose File.”
  • Browse until you find your video file.
  • Select the Share button on the lower right-hand side of the comment box to post your video.

Your photo or video will now be posted on the Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families Facebook wall and it will also show up on your own personal wall. Be sure to ask you friends to snap a photo or film their own video of their toxic relationship, too!

Please send us a few paragraphs describing your toxic relationship and don’t forget to submit a photo of you and your toxic partner. It’s super easy:

  • Go to our Tell Your Story submission form.
  • Fill out the form and include a quick explanation of your toxic tale.
  • Attach a photo of you and your toxic partner.
  • Click “Submit Form” and you’re done!

Remember, you are not alone. Only by sharing our stories and working together to get Congress to take action will we be able to take these toxic characters out of comission once and for all.
