Our Values
Our Values
We imagine a world where every person has an equal opportunity to breathe clean air, drink safe water, eat healthy food, and live and work in toxic-free homes, buildings, and communities that are safe and healthy.
Our values shape our work and are the foundation in which we ground what we do.
TRUST/INTEGRITY
We deliver and ground our work in the highest quality science, act in the public interest, and hold ourselves accountable.
JUSTICE
We fight for the most vulnerable and seek to transform the systems that result in toxic pollution disproportionately impacting Black, Brown, and Indigenous populations.
ACCOUNTABILITY
We hold corporations accountable for pollution and demand governments protect the health of people and the environment.
EMPOWERMENT
We activate and empower people in fighting for government and corporate policies and actions that prevent pollution.
TRANSPARENCY
We insist that officials and corporations disclose their actions, positions, and agendas. We are upfront and honest about our agenda, position, and use of funds.
RIGHT TO HEALTH
Everyone has an equal right to live a healthy life. Our bodies, homes, air, water, food, communities, and workplaces should be clean, safe, and not polluted.
COLLABORATION
We foster a culture of collaboration among our staff and organizational partners. We support and partner with diverse organizations and communities.
